quick post

As I waste time in the computer lab before written music theory class I thought I would give an update on life’s dealings.

Spring Break was nice, even if it was spent in Bowling Green. This is the first time in 5 years that I haven’t gone on a spring break trip with the Cats for Christ. It was really nice to actually relax and not have too many responsibilities. (I did have to take Edward to school at 7:30 every morning, but it wasn’t too difficult.)

You can check out mine and Kim’s engagement pictures (I know you really want to) at www.clintonlewis.com. Just click on weddings followed by online proofs. You will find our pictures under “Herriford Engagement.” (Doesn’t that sound like Kim proposed to me?) Clinton took a lot of pictures that I think give the viewer a little glimpse of what my relationship is like with Kim. There are lots of pictures of me poking Kim or vice versa, Kim laughing at how ridiculous I am, and basically us being ourselves. I don’t like to have a lot of formally posed pictures, because I think that looks goofy and superficial.

On the wedding front I’ve finally booked a string trio to play at the ceremony and reception. I’ve been slightly frustrated with finding a group because 3 groups had already backed out on me. However, I think we’re ending up with the best choice of all.

I finally hit it. Yes…. I’m burned out of school. After 6 years I’m actually in burn out mode. I’m finding it very difficult to be motivated for class, practicing, and ensembles. It started the Monday after spring break. Getting up that morning was like trying to climb a really tall mountain. The worse part about the whole burn out mode is that I’m not as fun to be around. So for Kim’s sake (and mine!), I’m trying to stay positive and keep focusing on how little time is left in the semester. Isn’t it frustrating when you know your life has been incredibly blessed yet you can’t help but feel sorry for yourself?

  2. Your engagement photos are awesome! Of course it doesn’t hurt that you’re both totally photogenic. He’s going to do a great job at the wedding.

  3. Thanks Ashley, I fixed the link! Feel free to order as many pictures of Kim and I as you like.–>
